This Morning’s Vernon Kay shocks fans as he reveals enormous tattoo of US star’s face on his back after losing a bet

VERNON Kay shocked his followers today when he revealed an enormous tattoo of another man’s face on his back.

The This Morning host – who is a huge American football fan – had former NFL star Eli Manning inked on him after losing a bet.

The move shocked Vernon’s followers and former co-stars, with June Sarpong asking: “WTF? Is that real?”

Dancing on Ice’s Radzi Chinyanganya added: “That is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepic!!!”

Vernon, 48, explained that he had the staggering large tattoo as a punishment for losing a 2012 wager over who would win an American football game.

He backed the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl – the biggest match of the season – only for the New York Giants to triumph instead.

The star explained what happened when he appeared on The Eli Manning Show, which was broadcasting from a pub in London.

Vernon told the ex-player: “In 2012, someone was in the Super Bowl. You were playing the quarterback who is the godfather of my children, Tom Brady.

“Big fan of Tom Brady. I said the Patriots would win and my best friend said that you guys would win. Obviously you guys won.”

Eli, 41, asked: “How did that work out for you?”

At that Vernon got out of his seat and, taking his top off, replied: “I’ll show you how it worked out.”

Eli then jumped up exclaiming: “Oh my God” at the sight of his own face – rubbing the tattoo to check it was real.

He told him: “I think it looks great. You’re lucky it’s a good looking guy back there.”

American football has come to London this month as part of the NFL’s International Series.

It has seen two games take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, including one tonight, with another at Wembley on 30 October.
