Born Cynthia Silva on the 29th October 1956, in California USA of Portuguese ancestry, Cindy hasn’t talked about her childhood and parents. After high school, she enrolled at California State University at Fullerton (CSUF), and it was there that her life changed forever.

She met her future husband, Kevin Costner, who was on the university campus studying marketing and finance. She launched her career as an actress even before graduation, appearing on stage mostly, though in 1998 she made her on-screen debut, appearing in the film “LiteWeight”.

Kevin Michael Costner was born on the 18th January 1955, in Lynwood, California USA, the youngest of three children born to Sharon Rae and William Costner – the middle child in the family died at birth.

Of German, English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh ancestry, he was raised as a Baptist, and having attended piano lessons, wrote poetry, and also was part of the First Baptist Choir, among other differing activities. His family moved a lot in his teenage years, and as a result, he lived in several places in California, attending several schools, which fell hard on him as he had to make new friends everywhere he went.

He eventually matriculated from Villa Park High School, and later attended CSUF, where he became interested in acting and dancing.

He was Marcus Sommers in the film “American Flyers”, starring alongside David Marshall Grant and Rae Dawn Chong, then in 1987 he was Elliott Ness in the crime-thriller film “The Untouchables”, starring with such greats as Sean Connery and Robert De Niro, and in 1988 starred with Susan Sarandon in the Academy Award-nominated film “Bull Durham”. He finished the decade with the lead role in the multiple Academy-Award- nominated fantasy-drama film “Field of Dreams”.

1990 was his most successful year to date – he decided to direct the film “Dances with Wolves”, based on the novel by Michael Blake. The film became a complete success, earning a total of $420 million at the box office, and winning seven Academy Awards, Kevin won Best Director and Best Picture. He received a number of other awards for the particular film, becoming one of the most popular actors of the year. He enjoyed success throughout the ‘90s, starring in films “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” the next year, then as Frank Farmer in the film “The Bodyguard” (1992), and as the Postman in the film of the same name in 1997.

He was one of the thieves in the action film “3000 Miles to Graceland” in 2001, and after this starred in a number of popular films, but none with any great success. Nevertheless, in 2013 he returned with a role in the sci-fi adventure film “Man of Steel”, with Henry Cavill as Superman, and in 2014 starred in the award-winning film “Black or White”. He was Al Harrison in the multiple Academy Award-nominated film “Hidden Figures” in 2016, and in 2017 starred in the crime-drama film, yhe biopic about Molly Bloom, entitled “Molly’s Game”. Since 2018, he has been portraying John Dutton in the TV series “Yellowstone” (2018-2020).

Kevin’s impressive career has contributed to his wealth, and according to sources, it has been estimated that Costner’s net worth is as high as $250 million as of mid- 2020. He is also involved in a number of business ventures such as the development of oil separation machines.

Following his divorce from Cindy, Kevin dated Bridget Rooney with whom he has a son, but the two didn’t marry. He is now married to Christine Baumgartner, a model and handbag designer, and they have three children. The family is living on a ranch in Aspen, Colorado USA.
