Man Utd celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo’s historic 700th goal with dressing room party including balloons and custom jersey

MANCHESTER UNITED celebrated in the dressing room after Cristiano Ronaldo bagged his 700th club goal last night.

The Portuguese forward reached the incredible landmark by netting a low left-footed effort beyond Everton star Jordan Pickford.

The goal, Ronaldo’s first in the Prem this season, earned United a precious 2-1 victory over the in-form Toffees.

But the Red Devils weren’t about to forget its extra individual significance to Ronaldo.

After the game, the 37-year-old was greeted in the dressing room by giant balloons forming the number “700”.

United also presented him with a special jersey with “Ronaldo 700” on the back.

The entire team posed together for a dressing room picture as Ronaldo beamed while holding his shirt.

After the match CR7 took to Instagram to celebrate his team’s win… but did NOT mention his personal accolade.

He wrote: “Great win guys! Another step in the right direction! #WeStandUnited”

After the match, boss Erik ten Hag hailed his experienced striker.

He said: “That is really impressive, when you score 700 goals, it’s a huge performance.

“I’m really happy for him, I congratulate him on that performance and I’m also happy it’s his first goal this season in the Premier League – he had to wait for it and I’m sure there will be more goals.”

Of Ronaldo’s 700 club goals – 144 have come for Man United.

A whopping 450 were for Real Madrid, while he notched 101 for Juventus.

The first five came while playing for first club Sporting Lisbon in Portugal – and he has also bagged 117 for Portugal.
