I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’s greatest bromance has officially stepped up a gear with the news that Danny Miller has invited David Ginola to his wedding, because of course he has.

Wednesday night’s Legends of the Castle special, which had this year’s 12 intrepid celebrities take a look back over the full series’ antics, saw David casually drop in this piece of information.

As the contestants reflected on the close relationships that had been forged in camp, the bond between King of the Castle Danny and David – who Danny has idolised since he was a child – was one that stood out.

During the overview, David confirmed their relationship had extended to a formal invitation to join Danny on what will be one of the happiest and most important days of his life.

After praising the competition winner as ‘the perfect campmate’, the French former pro footballer said: ‘He told me he’s getting married, and he said, “David, I would be pleased if you would come to my wedding”.’

However, the 54-year-old didn’t mention whether or not he’s accepted the invitation – so we’ll have to wait and see on the big day itself.

In the programme, Danny spoke of his admiration for David, explaining: ‘A lot of people say don’t meet your heroes because they let you down, but he never let me down once.’

Of Danny’s awe, David responded: ‘I was flattered, I could see he had a lot of respect for me.’

Danny has previously spoken about how it was his family’s future stability that had spurred him on to accept the challenge of joining his favourite show.

The 30-year-old welcomed new baby son Albert with his fiancée Steph just three weeks before entering Castle Gwrych.

After receiving his winner’s sceptre and crown, he said: ‘I never thought I’d be in this position, I barely thought I’d make it through the first two or three votes or so.’

‘I have made no secret about the fact that I wanted to be able to give him and set him up for a good future,’ he added. ‘I wasn’t financially set for that and this is an opportunity to do that.

‘It would set me and my family up. I feel like I have done it. I feel proud of myself and I hope my family are as well.’
