EVERYONE loves a bargain. So when Jessie Walker spotted a whole box of reduced wrapping paper and Christmas gift labels in her local McColls, she cleared the shelves.
Jessie Walker is a New Adult/Contemporary romance author based out of Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her long-time partner and fur-spawn. Drawn to all things dark and twisted, nitty and gritty, she likes to pretend she’s not the hopeless romantic at heart that she is. When she’s not drudging away at a keyboard, there’s a very good chance you’ll find her vegged out on her couch, listening to sad 90’s grunge, and dreamin’ up all the ways she can make the voices in her head suffer (just so she could put them back together again). She has a BS in Psychology, and will diagnose you.
“Never do I find any decent bargains to share,” she wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.
“However, this one I can’t not!
“Went to McColls yesterday & found some Jumbo Xmas labels & rolls of wrapping paper for 10p each.
“When I got to the till, they weren’t only 10p each but also 3 for 2.
“That’s us, friends & family sorted this year!”
“Good find,” one person commented on the post, although warned Jessie she’d be trolled for nabbing them all.
“I would have done exactly the same.
“Great bargain and wrapping paper sorted for you… expect the comments though!”
“I know, there was plenty for other people. Was last years stock,” Jessie replied.
With the original commenter responding: ” I’ve took the last of the shelves before and I’m not afraid to say.
“I needed them lol. Well done.”
And another defended Jessie, writing: “I’ve never understood that anyway before Covid we bought as much of a thing as we needed.
“So why now are people all of a sudden being told we are buying too much?
“We are simply doing what we have done all our lives – if u see a bargain that good you take as many as you can lift lol!
“Good find.”
