EastEnders fans in shock at massive Mitchell bombshell after Phil is ‘murdered’

EASTENDERS are in shock after a major Mitchell bombshell was revealed after Phil is murdered.

In a dramatic week in Walford the Mitchells will be left devastated when they learn that Phil has been murdered in prison.

However all is not as it seems – and Phil is very much alive.

Viewers know Sam Mitchell is secretly plotting to destroy everything her brother has worked for by taking his empire for herself.

But with his partner Kat Slater and ex Sharon Watts standing in her way, Sam has had her work cut out.

This week she sets about terrifying Kat into signing over Phil’s businesses to her – by pretending gangster Jonah is coming for them.

In one disturbing scene she even has a hired thug deliver a bullet to Kat’s son Tommy in an effort to push her over the edge.

Meanwhile Phil is in prison being targeted by a rival gangster who controls the wing he’s locked up in.

And when Phil is forced to take drastic action to get a burner phone to speak to Kat – things take a turn and he ends up brutally beaten.

DCI Keeble later turns up and renews her offer to him – turn informant and get released from prison immediately.

Only this time she has a timer on it, knowing Phil is set to be murdered by his brutal rival.

And in a horrifying twist as Sharon is on the phone with Phil, he is attacked and savagely beaten.

A terrified Sharon is later told there has been a fatality in Phil’s cell – and that the man she still loves is gone.

She is given letters for all of Phil’s family – except Sam – and told to make sure Peggy’s launch is a success, no matter what.

But her grief bubbles up and Sam discovers the truth and is devastated.

And when Kat finds out the three women struggle to cope with the momentous loss.

However as they are reminiscing there’s a huge shock in the club as Billy demands to know why they didn’t tell him.

And as they run out to stop him from telling everyone, they are left in shock to see Phil himself standing in the club.

“This my welcome home party?” he said grinning while everyone else looked confused.

Fans are in shock at the twist.
