EastEnders fans fume as Lola Pearce star Danielle Harold is ‘snubbed’ by The One Show’s Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas

EASTENDERS fans have slammed The One Show after actress Danielle Harold was ‘snubbed’ during an appearance on the sofa.

Danielle, 30, was invited on to Wednesday’s episode of the BBC1 programme to talk about her harrowing storyline on the soap.

The actress’ character Lola Pearce has been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour and she was on the sofa to talk about it.

In previous interviews, Danielle has told how filming the difficult scenes was “humbling” but that she hopes it will help to raise awareness of the disease.

But One Show viewers were left fuming after Danielle was given just a few minutes to speak to hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas.

They instead spent a large proportion of the show talking to fellow guest, sports commentator Gabby Logan, about her upcoming book release.

And when Danielle’s moment came, they continued jumping back to Gabby to ask her about moments in her life and autobiography.

Taking to Twitter, fans shared their anger about how little time Danielle was given to talk.

One raged: “Im sorry I thought you brought Danielle on the show to talk about the coverage of Lola’s brain cancer storyline? Such an important subject yet you turned today’s episode into the gabby show #disappointed #TheOneShow.”

Another chimed in: “I bet Danielle Harold is wondering why she bothered showing up. They gave her about 2 minutes and even then kept going back to Gabby Logan.”

A third added: “So f***ing rude, Danielle comes on to talk about something important and the presenters talk over to talk to Gabby. So unprofessional.”

And a fourth mused: “‘Nice to see you, Danielle. Coming back to you, Gabby…..'”

Someone else even begged producers of The One Show: “Please invite danielle back again, she wasn’t asked many questions and only got to say a couple words!!!”
