Christian Eriksen ‘AGREES Man Utd transfer’ as he snubs Brentford move after Premier League return

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN has verbally agreed to join Manchester United as a free agent.

The 30-year-old playmaker impressed after signing for Brentford on a short-term deal in January which sparked interest from a number of clubs.

The Bees had been hopeful of convincing Christian Eriksen to stay in West London and had offered him a new deal.

But SunSport understands the Danish international has now made the decision to join Manchester United.

He is set to pen a three-year deal at Old Trafford.

Eriksen is said to have informed United of his desire to join the club, with the midfielder now set for a medical.

His contract also needs to be finalised after agreeing to join the club in principle.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “We have suspended betting on Manchester United to sign Christian Eriksen this summer following a flurry of bets this morning.

“United were odds-on at 4/9 to sign the Danish midfielder before the market was suspended.

“Eriksen could have quite the impact with United 5/4 third favourites to finish in the top four, behind Tottenham and Chelsea at 4/6.

“In addition, Man United are 15/8 to win at least one major trophy next season and they are 25/1 to win the Premier League.”

Christian Eriksen played just 11 times for Brentford after penning a short-term deal – scoring once and providing four assists.

He is now set to follow left-back Tyrell Malacia through the doors at Old Trafford.

Malacia was pictured arriving at Carrington this morning to finalise his initial £13million move from Feyenoord.
